Hi, thanks to all of you who have visited this page. I’m Adel Hashem, the executive director of HND.

We at HND launching "Save a Family in Yemen" campaign to collect funds to feed the hungry families and children in our Yemen, world's worst humanitarian crisis.

We help Yemeni people regardless their different religions, sects, colors and regions.

1- WHAT IS SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN?

“SAVE A FAMILY YEMEN” is HND's relief campaign that aims to help the most war affected families in Yemen with food baskets.

ONE food basket each family.

Every food basket costs “$30” and will be sufficient ONE month.

Every food basket contains the following:

• 25 kg of wheat,
• 5 kg of rice,
• 5 kg of sugar and
• 2 liters of cooking(vegetable) oil.

2- WHY FOOD?

The people and children in Yemen are suffering with many war consequences such as displacement, lack of water, no good medical care. BUT hunger is the worst consequences they have been facing.

So helping them with foods is the most fundamental and urgent humanitarian assistance the people in Yemen need.

Anyway, HND’s team decided to spend ALL your small and big donations collected here to help the Yemeni people with foods because of the following reasons:

• There is an estimated “18” MILLION people in Yemen suffering with food insecurity;
• “600,000” children are acutely malnourished;
• About “130” children die every day in Yemen because of hunger and diseases(UNICEF);
• About “8” MILLION people are facing FAMINE;
• “50,000” children believed to have died in only 2017 because of extreme hunger and diseases.

ONE CHILD DIES EVERY 10 MINUTES IN YEMEN BECAUSE OF HUNGER AND DISEASES (UNICEF)

3- HOW MY DONATIONS WILL BE USED?

All the amounts collected here will be sent to us in Yemen in monthly basis.

That means HND’s team will receive the amounts and I personally will oversee the food distribution processes and directly post all pictures and videos here.

All funds would be collected here will be used as the following:

• 85%: Purchasing food baskets,

Food baskets will be purchased from local food suppliers near the living locations of the needy families;

• 9%: Transporting fees (trucks) and office supplies,

(6%) will be used to cover the trucks costs. Trucks will transport the food baskets into the living locations of the targeted families. (3%) to cover our Office supplies such as calls, papers etc.

• 6%: Fundrazr and wire transfer fees.

(6%) fees taken by Fundrazr platform website and other wire transferring services.

4- HOW DO I KNOW MY MONEY WILL GO TO FEED THE FAMILIES?

To let you know where your contributions are used, we will ensure that in a number of different ways:

- Publication of all photos, videos and financial documents,

Posting all of the photos and videos of the distribution processes as updates here.

- Email you Final Reports:

Send you an email with a Final Report that contains all the details of every stage such as budget, activities, food distribution framework etc.

5- SOME OF OUR ACHIEVED PROJECTS?

We successfully have launched over “90” projects in most Yemeni urban and rural areas since our establishment on 2016.

Right now, we have helped over "50,000" needy people in Yemen with most human basic life’s needs such as foods, water, education and health.
