For the last six years, my sons have been chasing their dreams. The dream of becoming a Chess Grandmaster. I'm so proud of their hard work and dedication.

On March 25th, 2012, Solo reached the title of Chess Expert. At age 14 he is ranked 33 in the United States, in his age division. He has a passion and love for the game, that I really can't put into words. He pushes himself not to excel because of others but a drive he has within himself. He lives by his own motto, "if it doesn't improve my character, than it's a waste of my time". He shows such discipline and integrity at such a young age. You will most likely find Solo in one of three places, during his free time ~ at church, on the court playing basketball or studying at a chessboard. At 6'8" he has a very promising future ahead of him in basketball too. He has a strong work ethic and his father and I are so proud of the young man he has become. He dreams of becoming a Chess Grandmaster by the time he is eighteen.

Isaac is 12 years old and also shows great potential in chess. He loves competing in tournaments and traveling to new places. He is an avid reader, loves playing with his Lego's and is one of the sweetest boys I know. He's had to deal with asthma since he was a little boy and he's never let it stop him. He enjoys basketball, soccer and helping people in need. He can be quite and reserved but has one of this biggest hearts around. His blue eyes and freckles, will melt your heart. We are so proud of the young man he is becoming and were so blessed to be his parents. He dreams of becoming a Chess Grandmaster and Lego Designer.

As so many other America families out there, our family struggles to make ends meet. The economy is slow and trying to reestablish our business in our community has had it's challenges. Thankfully, my husband is one of the hardest working men I know. I am truly blessed to be his wife and the mother to our 4 amazing boys. No matter what the circumstance~ we are truly blessed and thankful for all we have!

I'm asking for donations to get my boys chess lessons and see them off to Tennessee. This unique tournament only happens every 4 years. This is the last time Solomon can attend Super Nationals, he will be to old next time. I don't want to look back and regret not being able to help my boys pursue their dreams. So while this is very humbling to ask for help ~ I just want you to know I'll really appreciate any amount of money your able to donate. Thank you, for taking the time to read this and cheering my boys on.
