Cycle of Support: A Hygiene4Her Campaign
At Hygiene4Her, we believe that access to hygiene is not a luxury, it’s a right. Every woman deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for. Yet across our communities, too many face hygiene insecurity and stigma that no one should have to carry.
That’s why we’ve launched Cycle of Support, a campaign to raise $5,000 to provide essential hygiene products, from toothbrushes to menstrual items, to local women’s shelters in need.
Our Mission
-
Raise awareness about hygiene insecurity and its impact on women’s health and dignity.
-
Encourage healthy hygiene habits through education and outreach.
-
Challenge stigma surrounding feminine hygiene and self-care.
-
Provide direct donations to shelters supporting women in transition.
Now more than ever, shelters need our collective support.
Your
contribution can help ensure that no woman goes without the essentials
she deserves.
When you give, you’re not just donating products. You’re fuelling a cycle of care, dignity, and empowerment.
100% of donations go directly toward purchasing and delivering hygiene items for women in need.

Cycle of Support: Help Us Build a Community of Care
By Romina Tabesh | Hygiene4Her
Join us as we turn compassion into action and create a community where every woman has access to dignity and care.
The Hidden Crisis of Hygiene Insecurity
Across Canada, too many women face the impossible choice between food and basic hygiene products. Imagine starting your day without soap, toothpaste, or menstrual supplies, not because you forgot them, but because you simply can’t afford them.
At Hygiene4Her, we believe hygiene is not a privilege, it’s a human right. Our Cycle of Support campaign aims to raise $5,000 to provide essential hygiene kits to local women’s shelters. Together, we can build a community of care that restores dignity and strengthens confidence for those who need it most.
Why It Matters
Hygiene insecurity, or the lack of access to basic products like menstrual supplies, deodorant, and soap, is a silent crisis affecting thousands across the country.
Recent research reveals:
-
One in six (17%) Canadians who menstruate have
personally experienced period poverty, meaning they couldn’t afford
or access menstrual products.
( Government of Canada, 2024 – Women and Gender Equality Canada, Menstrual Equity Fund) -
63% of Canadian women and girls have had to skip
school, work, or social activities because they lacked menstrual supplies.
( NUPGE, Period Poverty in Canada, 2024) - Globally, over 800 million people menstruate each
day, many without access to safe, affordable hygiene products or
private washrooms.
(Global Affairs Canada, 2023)
Behind these statistics are real stories of students missing classes, mothers choosing between essentials, and shelters struggling to meet growing needs.
Who We Are
Hygiene4Her is a youth-led nonprofit committed to breaking barriers through action, awareness, and advocacy.
Our mission is to:
-
Raise awareness about hygiene insecurity and its effects on women’s health and dignity.
-
Encourage healthy hygiene habits through outreach and education.
-
Challenge stigma surrounding menstruation and self-care.
-
Provide direct donations to shelters serving women in transition.
At Hygiene4Her, we've seen how even small contributions can have a huge impact. When shelters have a consistent supply of hygiene items, they can redirect funds toward counselling, housing, and other vital supports.
That’s what Cycle of Support is about; turning compassion into sustainable change.
The Cycle in Motion
Every donation is part of something bigger. It’s not just a purchase, but an act of care that ripples outward through our community.
When we come together, small acts of generosity add up to real
transformation.
You’re not funding products... you’re
funding dignity.
How You Can Join the Cycle
Here’s how you can help build a community of care:
- Donate today - every dollar goes directly toward hygiene items for women in need
- Advocate - talk about hygiene insecurity, reduce stigma, and share our mission online
- Partner with us - organizations can sponsor drives, match donations, or host educational events
Why Community Action Matters
Access to hygiene isn’t only about health, it’s about equality,
opportunity, and empowerment.
When women and girls can manage
their hygiene safely, they are more likely to stay in school, attend
work, and engage fully in their communities.
Through previous initiatives, Hygiene4Her has partnered with shelters and local donors to create long-lasting change. We’ve learned that when compassion becomes collective, it becomes unstoppable.
This campaign isn’t just about collecting donations. It’s about creating a community of care where everyone belongs.
Be Part of the Cycle
When you contribute to Cycle of Support, you become part of something powerful. You become part of a growing network of people committed to dignity, equity, and care.
Your donation helps restore confidence, rebuild lives, and remind every woman that she is seen, supported, and valued.
Because every person deserves a Cycle of Support and a community of care.
