Thus, bees, being one of the most industrious creatures in the world, have benefited people, plants and the environment for centuries.

Bees and other pollinators, by transferring pollen from one flower to another, ensure not only the productivity of fruits and plants, but also their diversity and high quality. Pollinators such as bees, birds and bats directly affect 35% of the world's fruit production.

Beekeeping is a global sector that is a source of income for millions of beekeepers. Bees play an important role in conserving biodiversity, supporting reforestation, resilience and adaptation to climate change, as well as in ensuring the life and reproduction of plants, increasing the quantity and quality of agricultural products.

Bees not only contribute to the pollination of plants, but also play an important role in protecting the biodiversity of flora in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2017, the United Nations, in a resolution, declared 20 May annually as World Bee Day to raise awareness of the important role of bees and their contribution to sustainable development, as well as the dangers they face.

Considering the volume of sales of bee products and their health benefits, one can better understand what value added is created in the economy.

The most famous bee product is honey. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in 2017, 1 million 861 thousand tons of honey were produced in the world. The global income from bee honey accounts for only 25% of the total income of the beekeeping sector. In addition to honey, bee products such as beeswax, bee milk and pollen are in great demand.

In addition, in developed countries such as the United States and Russia, beekeeping is practiced in order to grow a variety of plants, increase the quantity and quality of products. In the US, for example, growers pay beekeepers an average of $41 million a year to "rent" bees to pollinate their plants, earning an average of $3.2 billion a year from the bees' contribution to their production.

Based on the results of another study conducted in the USA, it was found that about a third of the total income from the production of about 40 types of crops in the amount of 30 billion US dollars, i.e. about 10 billion US dollars has been provided by bees.

The history of beekeeping in Turkmenistan is rooted in ancient times. Mobile beekeeping is widespread in the country. In the spring, honey is collected from various desert plants in the Karakum Desert. In Turkmenistan, honey is mainly harvested from plants such as camel thorn, cotton and clover. The collection of cotton honey by bees increases the cotton yield by 25-30%.

Turkmen beekeepers can increase the productivity of honey through the use of new methods of beekeeping. At the same time, they have the opportunity to produce not only honey, but also other products, such as bee venom, beeswax, bee milk, and receive significant profits in world markets.

• Plant nectar-bearing flowers on balconies, terraces and gardens for decorative purposes - marigolds or sunflowers;
