I’m unsure of where to start. Do I recite from the beginning? Where my sister and her husband passed away far too young. Leaving behind little else besides their twin children? Maybe I should start from when there was little choice but to take them in myself as there is no one else to care for them?.. 

Already living on low wages but making due when the pandemic hit and all of a sudden my meager wage was cut in half. It was blow after blow but I could handle it, it wouldn’t be easy but I wasn’t completely alone. But as the famous saying goes, it is the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Covid already took my livelihood but now myself and the children became infected. It wasn’t unlike a mild case of the flu and while myself and one of the children healed the other did not and only got worse. Complications arose that left him hospitalized for two weeks and during his stay other issues such as impetigo happened. I had no money and the expenses were far beyond my means. Life had taken away two loving parents from their children, and the Corona Virus took away my ability to properly care for them. As someone who didn’t have much of a choice, all I could do was dive deep into dangerous waters and while at first I thought I had found treasure when I looked up I realized I was surrounded by sharks and they were quickly circling in. 

I am embarrassed to admit but these sharks are eating me alive

I’m treading water, trying to swim to the surface with all my might but they drag me deeper and deeper into the dark and cold ocean. The lie and cheat making it impossible to work off my debt, trapping me in the circle of taking out another loan to pay my current loan, all under the threat of their giant jaws of pointed teeth. I’m embarrassed but not ashamed. I did what I had to do to take care of my niece and nephew, I’m all the family they have and while I wish there was some way out of this that I could manage, there simply isn’t.

I’m currently drown in debt, and in need of help to get a fresh start in life.

Since losing my job, I've been doing everything I can to earn a living. From selling fritters by the side of the road, to washing dishes. I often help a friend's bridal with makeup but I don't get gig often since I don't have my own makeup kit. The money raised will be used as follows:

Debt repayment: The remaining debt with interest as of now April 12th is about £2,800 (see Updates section for the screenshot)

Health insurance: US$225 (this way if the twins get sick it won't cost an arm and a leg)

The rest will be used to buy makeup kit, hopefully I can get more makeup gigs with better pay with my own makeup.

Here I can accept donations and hopefully be free of all these sharks. Then I can focus on caring for my family and be able to swim instead of drown. I want a better life for my nephew and niece, that’s all I desire.
