A devastated mother fighting to bring her baby girl back home!
Hello, my name is Bryttnee and I have been separated from my 23-month-old daughter , since this past February 2018 . Engaged to her father, our family of 4 was living in California nearly a year when life started to hit us.
Last January (2018), my mother found out she had a rare,
progressive sarcoma that had to be treated right away. In an
effort to alleviate the stress and the distance, we agreed to
relocate back to Kentucky which is where both of our families
reside. I applied for jobs in Kentucky to prepare for our
journey back east. After a few weeks, our California house was
nearly packed up and arrangements were made to relocate by late
February. I put in my two week notice with his support. I paid for
the transportation company out of my tax refund and secured a few
job interviews in KY. I needed to travel
ahead while he tied up loose ends in CA,
which would separate the family for a couple weeks. However,
once I got to KY to assist with my mother’s Treatment--- the
unfathomable happened to my family.
On March 21, 2018 a bailiff knocked on my mothers doors at
8:30pm to serve me a temporary restraining order. The order stated
I could not take my daughter out of the state of California. I was
crushed. I immediately called my fiancée, who was still in
CA, wanting to know why he did this, to which he did not answer. I
went two weeks without being able to talk to or see my baby girl.
Finally, I secured an attorney and went to court in July for the
first hearing.
This process between then, now and forward has become quite
costly (for travel, legal fees, evaluations, childcare and
more) To assure my baby's safety and comfort, I plan to visit my
daughter as much as I can in CA while taking care of my mother in KY.
Each trip to see
my baby
has been rewarding and joyful as much
as
devastating to part.
She has a 3 yr old
big
sister who is suffering from their separation and at this
point, I will do whatever it takes to reunite them.
At this time, her father has primary physical custody and
he
has made it very difficult for me to get quality time with
her even by facetime or skype. He believes in a form of discipline
that I do not practice. I’ve filed a case with CPS because
of apparent neglect, such as a 2-inch drip burn mark on her hand,
which will scar for life.
When asked about it, he was very evasive. The doctor
stated she was never seen
or
treated for it. Imagine how gut wrenching that is to know, as
a mother, when you feel there’s nothing you can do to protect your baby.
I am hopeful we will get her home soon.

our help will speed up the process. My 3-yr-old recently said,
“All I want for Christmas is my Holland”. We did not get
to grant that wish, but I am working diligently until I can
unite my daughters, whom miss one another dearly.
