Hello, everyone. If you're unfamiliar, we are Betty and Luke, and our cats are Max and Lenny. Betty and Luke are a disabled, trans couple who both have complex PTSD. Very recently, we escaped homelessness by, quite miraculously, fundraising enough to get a used RV. Unfortunately, we cannot celebrate, as we have some urgent things we need to fund-raise for, to maintain the RV, and to keep us on track with achieving stability. Please take a moment to read through our short-term goals, and share this to a friend or your social media to support our efforts.

The first and main goal is being able to get our RV into a mechanic for maintenance and repairs as soon as we can. We have started to have issues with the engine stalling recently and almost got into an accident a few days ago as a result. Making sure our RV stays functional and safe for us is the priority with this. We plan on trying to take the RV in as soon we're able to raise half of our goal, which would should give us buffer room in case repairs end up more than anticipated.

The secondary goal is to cover being able to have independent electricity for the RV. We're still looking into whether or not replacing the generator or if installing solar panels would be the best for that. Also included in the secondary goal is covering registration as well as any other non-mechanical things we need to get/fix to make the RV actually livable full-time.

The final goal is to be able to get a cheap ($2000 or less) secondary vehicle before we leave South Dakota again. Having the RV as our only source of transportation is already proving to be not particularly practical. Considering that the RV is literally our home, ideally we would like to be driving it as little as possible. Besides any mechanical issues that could go wrong while driving (like the stalling), we also have to worry about other drivers. Getting a secondary vehicle would also allow Betty to start being able to DoorDash again as a source of income.
