We've just learned that the telescopes have arrived in Tripoli after
making the long sea voyage from the US to North Africa!
Atiyah Alhasadi of the Roaya for Astronomy and Space
Applications Foundation that created the school astronomy clubs and
is providing support wrote that two events are already being
planned where the students will share their views of the night sky
with the public.
This is in line with Roaya's efforts to share astronomy with everyone
and use it for STEM awareness throughout the country. It's also what
amateur astronomers do worldwide -- the stars are for everyone.
This is all we know at this point, but we wanted to share the
good news with you right away. As Atiyah said,
"I will send you the details later, now let's celebrate this accomplishment."
We can't wait to hear the students reactions when they finally
see the cosmos up close after all this time studying and dreaming of stars.
As Salma Boain said, "If I get a telescope it will be one of my sweetest dreams

P.S. We've been asked to provide small telescopes for schools
studying astronomy in Ukraine. Setting this up has been a challenge
