To actively involve the public in awareness and protection of our natural and cultural resources and foster appreciation and respect for community — past, present and future.

About us

The Cole Harbour Rural Heritage Society has been collecting, preserving, and protecting Cole Harbour’s cultural and natural heritage for 40 years. A community response to the rapid change from rural to urban landscape, the Society continues to champion this once prosperous agricultural community and bring its story to life at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum, an original 200 year-old farm. "The Farm" is a community museum dedicated to preserving and interpreting Cole Harbour's agricultural past, and to developing understanding of plants, animals and farming today. It relies heavily on community support and volunteers. Admission to the Farm is by donation so that the community may visit often and stay connected our rural roots!

Feed the Farm, Enrich the Community

It's almost time! The Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum opens on May 15 and that means sheep, chickens, ducks, piglets and calves will soon be arriving. We need your help! Please donate to the care and feeding of our 2019 farm animal program.

The Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum is a rural oasis in the city, connecting community to its rural roots. Each year "the Farm" brings in pigs, sheep, cows and poultry so that everyone may come to know them. We are admission by donation; open to all.
