Scabbers is one of our adoptable puppies who had an emergency surgery yesterday, July 21st, for a Tibial Tuberosity Avulsion Fracture. Unfortunately, Scabbers was injured while running around and getting exercise in the AAHS yard.
Since the beginning of February, we have been working hard to rescue Chihuahuas from a hoarding situation. We have taken in about 40 so far. There are about 12 more still in the home, but we are helping in every way we can.

AAHS recently rescued 3 puppies in need of medical attention. Two of these puppies are victims of neglect and one was born at a disadvantage. All three pups have one thing in common, they need surgery on a leg and were at risk staying at animal control!
