Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the ML4 Foundation which is in honor of my upcoming bat mitzvah.
While my older siblings have known and loved
Shaindy for a long time and they even raised much needed funds for
research for the ML4 Foundation, I think I have the most special
connection to Shaindy. Not only were Shaindy and I born on the same
day, January 11, 2008, we even share a middle name -- Leah! Shaindy
and I have been friends since the day we were born.
I think Shaindy is special because of her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, constant hard work and the way she makes everyone around her feel loved. I wish I could take away all of Shaindy’s challenges and cure her disease. Then we could do everything together the way we hoped we would be able to.
I really appreciate you contributing to the foundation that is working so hard to find treatments and eventually a cure for Shaindy and our other friends impacted by ML4. This is the best bat mitzvah gift I could ask for. Thank you.
The ML4 Foundation’s mission is to fund, support, and promote
medical research dedicated to developing treatments for
Mucolipidosis Type IV (ML4), a genetic neurodegenerative storage disease.
Your donations directly support treatment-focused research at Massachusetts General Hospital, The Weizmann Institute, and other top laboratories around the world working on creating drugs to control neuro-inflammation and to create gene therapy for children with ML4.
