The mission of Techmoja is to enliven communities, create a deep sense of cultural understanding, and connect people across boundaries through the creative process and performing arts in coastal North Carolina . Techmoja believes in the power of collaboration across disciplines and mediums and works to amplify submerged stories of underserved communities. 

Techmoja’s vision is to create an indigenous body of theater and modern dance work rooted in the traditions and richly reflective of the lives of Southeastern North Carolina people. We strive for artistic excellence and a vital relationship with our audience. Regionally we serve as a resource to others who want to discover, affirm, and present their community’s story on the stage and create intercultural work exploring race, place, class and culture.
