Sustain Our Abilities is a climate change non-profit organization focused on the intersection of climate, health, and disability. SOA is dedicated to addressing the health impacts of climate change and expanding disability-inclusive climate action through public education, research, organizing and advocacy. We work to transform climate adaptation and mitigation in ways that improve the independence, health and well-being of people with and without disabilities.

SOA is a largely volunteer-driven organization and features international partners from advocacy groups, research institutions, medical facilities, and more. Our core awareness-raising event has been the annual Day For Tomorrow on October 22, which features volunteer-led events ranging from community presentations to climate justice rallies to nature outings; we’ve recently expanded to host online workshops, develop a resource library, pursue formal research opportunities with partners, and collaborate on the inaugural Climate & Health hybrid conference held in New York and online (www.climatehealth2023.com).

SOA is still a relatively young organization and is in the process of growing our staff, network of partners and volunteers, and programming. We appreciate your support as we raise awareness and work for more widespread inclusive climate mitigation and accessible adaptation. If you would like to learn more about our work and how you can take part, visit us at www.sustainourabilities.org.
