About Maplelatte Animal Shelter Society

Maplelatte Animal Shelter Society is a nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to protecting and caring for animals in need. Located in Beaver County, Alberta, our mission is to rescue abandoned, neglected, and homeless animals and give them the care and second chance they deserve.

Our journey began with a simple goal: to help animals that have nowhere else to go. Even before becoming an officially registered nonprofit in 2025, we were already rescuing animals in our community and providing them with food, shelter, and medical care.

Today, our society continues to work hard to save dogs and cats from difficult situations, especially in rural communities where animal welfare resources are limited. Every rescued animal receives essential care such as vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping, along with the love and patience needed to help them recover and prepare for adoption.

We also work closely with foster homes and responsible adopters to ensure every animal has the opportunity to find a safe and loving forever home.

As a small nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on the support of our community. Donations help us provide veterinary care, food, shelter supplies, and rescue transportation for animals that need help the most.
