TaSunka Ohola Boosters are a fundraising organization. The purpose of our fundraising is to support young riders from Bridger, South Dakota and others as we identify needs. TaSunka Ohola is named for the grandson of founding booster LaVae High Elk Red Horse. TaSunka Ohola is Lakota and means Respects His Horse. Respecting Tasunka Oyate, the Horse Nation is one of the cornerstones upon which we function. TaSunka Ohola includes assistance in providing food and supplies needed to properly care for our TaSunka relatives. TaSunka Ohola Boosters promote a drug and alcohol free life for the young people by setting a sober example. The riders we currently support have made a commitment to living a drug and alcohol free life as they develop their relationship to the TaSunka Oyate. We are based out of the historically significant community of Bridger but have supported riders from Iron Lightning and other communities on the Cheyenne River Reservation in Spouth Dakota.
