Damaged Goods are hurting people who hurt other people and produce more Damaged Goods. The church has been damaged, beginning with the leadership and spreading throughout the congregation. At some point, everyone has been damaged, caused damage or at least knows someone who has been damaged. The church is represented in our communities, workplaces, and social organizations. Without realizing it, more hurt is caused when the church is misrepresented by the leaders and congregants who proclaim Christianity. Several individuals have contributed to this book by sharing their personal experiences of being hurt by the church. In addition to the stories, there are moments set aside for the reader to reflect on his/her own experiences as a Damaged Good and as one who may have caused damage to others.
