54: Something to Give tells the story of THE GIVE TEAM’s journey from Selma to Montgomery as youth from Orlando’s Parramore community walk in the footsteps of civil rights heroes. But this is more than a story about retracing history. Along the way, they meet people who lived it, hear stories of courage and sacrifice, and learn that only by understanding the struggles others endured can we truly appreciate how far we’ve come and how much more is possible.
As the miles add up, the challenge becomes more than physical. It’s a test of character, resilience, and belief. Nobody ever got stronger doing easy things. That’s true physically, and it’s true culturally. Through shared hardship, the team discovers strengths they didn’t know they possessed, forms bonds that can only be built through struggle, and learns that meaningful change begins when ordinary people choose to do hard things together.
Most of all, 54: Something to Give is a story about community, service, and the belief that no matter how little you have, you always have something to give.
