Women Woke Within Corporation hasn't added a story.
Please help us get justice for Wayne Lamar Jones.
Wayne Lamar Jones has been incarcerated for 23 years. Women Woke Within, a social justice coalition, discovered that:
- The court never produced Wayne's transcripts and admitted this in a letter to the mother.
- The court reporter was not licensed as a court reporter.
- The judge on the case resigned due to this oversight of the court reporter not being licensed.
- Other cases have been overturned because of the unlicensed court reporter and because the court did not provide transcripts.
- The mother, Betty Jenkins, needs funds to assist her in challenging what the courts have allowed to happen to her son, Wayne.
Please review Betty Jenkins' video asking for your help and the Wayne Jones story, which is now airing on social media networks and streaming television.
During an interview with d'Shift Network, Betty Jones, the mother of Wayne Jones, said she does not want her son to die in prison. Betty is sending out an SOS via this fundraiser platform, asking those who see this story not to look the other way. She needs your help to raise funds to free her son. Wayne Jones has been in prison since the age of 17, the courts never considered that as young male he became addited to drugs which was the start of his problems. The judicial system decided he was just another statistic, but Wayne Jones is human. During the time of Wayne's sentencing, the judicial system's motto was "War on drugs." What they did not realize was that the war on drugs also destroyed families, and Betty and her family are still living the nightmare of what the war on drugs has done across this country. Wayne's family loves him and prays that he is released, but he needs your help to obtain legal support for his case.
Wayne Jones is parole-eligible. The Parole Board indicates that one of its goals is to rehabilitate the incarcerated. So, when is an individual rehabilitated, and who is certified to say so? Watch the Wayne Jones Story below. Wayne has taken every class mandated for him in prison. What else can he do to prove to the system that he is rehabilitated and ready for release ?
We ask you to help Women Woke Within assist Betty Jenkins in obtaining legal support for her son Wayne. No amount is too small. Every dollar you provide will go toward doing the work to bring Wayne's case to light. We need people like you to help us end mass incarceration, and it starts with ensuring that people like Wayne get the correct legal representation, discovery, and everything that a wealthy person receives from the judicial system.
