Our Story

Please join us May 16, 2015 from 12:00pm-6:00pm for the 4th Annual Lyndon Brooke Stidham Memorial Walk for HAE at Heritage Park in Cullman AL This is a walk in memory of Lyndon who lost her battle with HAE at age 12 on September 28, 2004. Please help us raise HAE Awareness on HAE Day in memory of Lyndon.

We are working on obtaining a group rate at the Holiday Inn in Cullman for our out of town HAE family.

What is HAE?

Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is a rare, debilitating and potentially fatal genetic disease resulting from a deficiency of a key plasma protein. Patients suffer from unpredictable attacks of swelling that involves the hands, feet, abdomen, face, and airway. Abdominal swelling involves excruciating pain and vomiting that can last up to 72 hours. Airway attacks constitute a major medical emergency that can lead to death by suffocation. Despite the availability of new medicines and progress made in HAE advocacy and education, preventable HAE-related deaths continue to occur, and many patients still suffer from disabling attacks.
