God's Little People Cat Rescue is located on the heavenly Greek island of Syros. Since 2010, we’ve helped sick and injured cats and orphaned kittens and we daily feed two local stray colonies, do TNR (trap-neuter-return). Our sanctuary is currently home to 50+ rescued cats and we're constantly much over our max capacity.

As many of you will know we have wanted to expand the vision for our work for a long time and have searched far and wide including the dream we've had of starting a sanctuary in the US. For practical and logistical reasons we've now decided to focus on Denmark, the native country of founder Joan R. Bowell where we have found the ideal little farm. We used the first 10,900 euros towards purchasing the farm with its huge barn space dedicated to the cats (any living quarters are entirely covered from our own funds). We are now seeking additional funding to do up the barn with insulation in the floor to make it a warm and comfortable space for the cats - straw bales and safe barn heaters, new windows and doors letting in light.
