DriveHER is a ridesharing platform designed to provide safe rides , enhance community and to further female empowerment by being an alternative transportation service for women within the GTA.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
DriveHER will be focusing on women and girls as well as women with their families. Both groups will demand our services. The families will utilize our service because its safe and convenient for late nights in the city and there is none in the city that addresses the safety of women at the present moment. Since the service is fairly comparable to most taxi and ride sharing services women owned and run businesses will encourage their workers to utilize DriveHER as a safety measure especially in this city were women’s safety is a concern.
DriveHER recognizes that our key to success will be providing a service for women, by women, emphasizing the importance of safety, community and empowerment.
WHY CROWDFUNDING
On May 3, 2016, Toronto City Council made a series of decisions related to taxicab, limousine and Private Transportation Company (PTC) regulations. In order to operate within the city of Toronto we would have to be regulated and licensed as a Private Transportation Company (PTC).
Start-up Costs:
What are the licensing fees for a PTC licence? $20,000.00
Administration Costs : $5,000
In order to successfully launch in Toronto we will need to raise a total of $25,000 to cover the licensing fees , and administrative costs to get our drivers on the road.

MEET THE FOUNDER
At just 25 years old, Aisha Addo made national headlines after launching DriveHER, a start-up that will provide a safe alternative ride sharing service for women – and by women – in the GTA. Aisha earned media coverage from CBC to Chatelaine to The Toronto Star. She is currently hosting driver recruitment sessions for DriveHER and plans to be operational by Dec. 2016. Aisha is also the founder of Power to Girls Foundation, a non-profit operating in Ghana and Canada that empowers and engages young girls by helping them find their passion and purpose in life. She is the recipient of the Young Black and Gifted Award for Community Service, A Black Diversity Group Role Model award and was celebrated as one of 100 Black Women To Watch in Canada.
