On behalf of the Blessed Association of Retired Persons (BARP), I wish to appeal to you to support our fund drive for the completion of the BARP Center for Retirees and the Elderly.
The goal of this fundraising initiative is to establish a permanent home for the BARP Foundation Inc., and the BARP Multi-Purpose Cooperative. The BARP Center for Retirees and the Elderly aims to serve its 6,800 and growing senior members and the rest of the community in a one-stop venue where services for senior citizens can be provided and enjoyed conveniently in an elderly- friendly atmosphere. The Center is envisioned to be a facility maintained and operated by the elderly for the elderly, keeping them productive and active in their golden years.
The construction of the building is ongoing and its percentage of completion is 92%. It is our dream to see it completed by 2018. At this point, additional funds are urgently needed in order for the construction to continue. It is my hope that you can help us achieve this dream through a voluntary donation.

FUNDRAISING PROJECT PROFILE
The goal of the BARP Foundation's (www.barpfoundation.com) fundraising initiative is to complete the construction of the permanent home for the BARP Foundation Inc., and the BARP Multi-Purpose Cooperative. The BARP Center for Retirees and the Elderly aims to serve its 6,800 and growing members and the community as well in a one-stop venue where services can be provided and enjoyed conveniently in an elderly friendly atmosphere. The Center is envisioned to be a facility maintained and operated by the elderly for the elderly, keeping them productive and active in their golden years.
This exceptional and first of its kind elderly facility in the city of Baguio will combine an array of basic services and amenities for members and the community. It will provide medical, health, fitness, wellbeing, rehabilitation, lifestyle and legal services with easy access to quality, on-site elderly care. The Center will feature a carefully and thoughtfully planned venue with amenities and activities to enhance the precious leisure time of the elderly as they share and socialize with friends old and new.
Aside from the many personalized services offered, the Center will feature an elderly oriented commercial center with a comfortable, safe and affordable bed and breakfast inn with a pleasant living environment for the elderly and their family. The surrounding landscape will be transformed into a fitness and rejuvenation park. The BARP Center also features an auditorium for senior citizen activities and socials.
Currently, BARP member architects and engineers, along with volunteers and supporters that believe in this advocacy are proud to announce that the construction of the building is 92% complete but financial resources needed to attain 100% completion is lacking and thus this fundraising initiative was revived. The BARP Foundation’s officers, staff and members are therefore appealing for support through this online fund drive to raise PhP1,000,000 to be used for the completion of the Social Hall/ Auditorium and to purchase the facilities needed.
