Rodney has now been assessed and we need to raise £10,000 to cover the cost of him having prosthetic limbs fitted. Rodney is an otherwise happy, healthy, naughty, typical pup and he needs to be able to have the very best we can do for him. The alternative is euthanasia and that is just not an option.

Rodney came in to our rescue at Friends of the Animals RCT when just 8 weeks old. He has no back paws and we don't know if he was born this way or if his mother had bitten them off during his birth. His legs seem otherwise normal down to his ankles but he needs xrays to know if any other parts are missing apart from his paws. He gets around quite well on his stumps but long term, as he grows, this will become a huge problem for him and he already seems to be feeling some discomfort after a busy day. We have been very fortunate to get an appointment with one of the UKs top orthopedic specialists and on August 4th Rodney's foster mum will take him for an assessment and xrays. We have been quoted £600 for this and hopefully will know after this if new paws are a possibility. We appreciate that many of our supporters have been helping us with our Wonky Dog Club members but we really must do the very best we can for these animals who need someone on their side.
