Detroit United Lacrosse is excited to announce our newest home inside of Durfee Innovation Society!
Located on the third floor, we are excited to offer our Crosse ROOTS life skills and character development programming, nutrition & cooking lessons, tutoring and more through our permanent space. We are asking for help in making the renovation of our space possible by helping us buy furniture, school supplies, and other items necessary to make our space as functional and multi-faceted as possible. We are looking to fund:

In 2018, only 7% of Detroit's eighth-grade students performed at or above the NAEP Proficient reading level. 5% of the city's eighth-graders performed at or above the NAEP Proficient mathematics level. It is part of mission to help close this gap by providing wrap around services through our new space, while also providing an unique athletic experience through lacrosse.
Currently, Detroit United Lacrosse has served over 200 youth in the past two years, and with our move into DIS, we will be able to expand our reach. DIS tenants interact with over 2,500 youth every year through their programming, and work closely with Durfee Elementary/Middle School as we share a campus, with the mission of making it the most improved DPSCD school by 2025. While we do serve the Durfee/Central Community, Detroit United Lacrosse works with youth around the city.
