The Detroit United Lacrosse Organization is a citywide youth organization dedicated to developing student-athletes of character and integrity who will serve as positive members of the community. Detroit United Lacrosse works directly with youth from Detroit and surrounding neighborhoods to provide high-level lacrosse training, wellness education, and educational opportunities.

Our Mission

As the face of lacrosse in the city of Detroit, we currently serve over 200 youth. Our mission is to use the sport of lacrosse to unify the youth of Detroit's neighborhoods by promoting character education, personal development, and pathways to prosperity, and instilling the values of the sport: respect, honor, courage, and integrity.

Our Programs

Lacrosse is an amazing sport and provides access to so many opportunities, from scholarships to internships and lifelong friendships. We are thrilled to share the love of the sport with kids, 3-18 years old, in our community and give them the opportunity to try something new.

A Stick in Every Hand - 500 Sticks for 500 Kids

Help us put a stick in every player’s hands this summer through our 500 Sticks for 500 Kids Campaign — every donation helps Detroit youth continue building confidence, community, and opportunity through lacrosse.

For our 5 year anniversary, we are looking to raise $50,000 to spur us into the next 5 years of lacrosse, academic support, and community as we look to raise funds to expand our academic programming.

New Shed Fundraiser: existing storage shed damaged beyond repair

Sadly, our shed that contained our lacrosse equipment and other supplies was broken into behind our classroom building, with items stolen and damaged. While we have fixed it temporarily, it is damaged beyond repair and will need to be fully replaced!

Detroit United Lacrosse New Space

Detroit United Lacrosse is excited to announce our new home inside of Durfee Innovation Society! We are looking to raise the funds to renovate our 1031 square foot space into a productive, multifaceted learning space for youth between 3-18.
