WHO WE ARE
Every Orphan's Hope is a ministry based in the US that has been rescuing, raising and restoring orphaned children for 16 years in Zambia, Africa. Our baby rescue mission, Bethel Home, cares for newborns and infants who have been orphaned and abandoned.
WHAT WE DO
Every baby needs the comfort, protection and love of a family to flourish as God intended. Bethel Home provides exactly this for 20 babies who, for all intents and purposes, were out of options. These children are cared for by devoted, live-in mothers, who provide for their physical, social, emotional and educational needs until they are united with a forever family.
Aaron and his older brother, Elijah, were brought to us after his mother died while delivering him. Their mother left behind 6 children in all. Tragically, the family wasn't able to care for all 6 of the children, and so these two gifts were brought home to Bethel with the blessing of the Zambian Department of Social Welfare.
Not only has Aaron been cared for by the mothers at Bethel Home since he was a newborn, but the Lord has also blessed him with sight! Aaron was born blind, a terrible cultural isolator in Zambia, but after surgery and eyeglasses, this 15-month-old can now see!
There are countless children just like Aaron who need the type of love and care that Bethel Home provides. Sadly, our facility is at full capacity and we have actually had to turn away 10 babies in the last year. We are determined to never turn another baby away again! This is why we are building new, and expanded, Bethel Homes that will allow us to care for 40 babies, thereby doubling our capacity.
While the building itself is almost fully funded, these babies still need your help to make their house a home, where the mamas are able to care well for each baby entrusted to us.
THE NEED
The cost to fully furnish the house is $500 per child ($20,000 total). This will provide for all the home needs of one child including: crib and bedding, floor mats, books, kitchen items, living room furniture, dining tables, and more. In order to have all items ready by move in day we need to raise the cost for all 40 babies by May 15, 2020.
