Doug W. hasn't added a story.
An adopted person of faith who lost both his parents within the last few yeas (2017 & 2020), needing a little assistance to find a permanent house for him & his service dog to stay and continue to grow up within his community
A member of the Church, a volunteer within the community for many years.
Assisted helping in both his adopted parents caretaking for both his mother, who at the time of her passing was dealing with Alzheimer's before her stroke. And a few years later his adopted father died due to the effects of Agent Orange from his time in Vietnam after beating prostate cancer.
This person of faith is adopted and was the only Son to two kindhearted parents who had adopted him later in their lives. With no real close family he has managed to stay a good Christian, actively involved within the community and isn't seeking to move far from Winchester, Virginia.
He is currently trying to stay within his community with his service dog as he tries to buy a home he can permanently reside in.
He has zero relations close by as stated due to being adopted. He may also be interested in even more than just monetary assistance (a new start to a new form of family as this is also his second family he has now lost).
He is a bright young soul who has been trying to stay locally around so he isn't fully alone losing his connection to his church, friends, community he grew up in and have a place where he can finally have a place to properly stay with his service dog & possibly meet a family who would be open to him being apart of their life as well (but not expected).
We are hoping to help get him on his feet for possibly somewhere between 60 thousand to 70 thousand or as much as possible to help him financially be able to stay within the community he grew up in.
He has been apart of the community since 2005 as his adopted parents raised him in a good Christian area.
During the pandemic he has helped his adopted father and other military veterans travel to the VA in Martinsburg before the passing of his father in 2020.
He has continued to be of assistance to his local community and has tried his best to save up as much as possible to be able to stay within his community.
He has managed to save up as much as possible so he can finally have some security in his life and a good home for his service dog.
It has been a struggle for him even before the pandemic to have a stable family as he hasn't had a large family close by as due to him being adopted and the only Son of two senior parents which he only knew but also open to the idea of starting a new beginning with a welcoming new family who would love and care for him as a open possibility too.
We'd love to help him try to have some sense of stability and get him on a stable foundation for the betterment of his life.
We aren't seeking anything more than a kind gesture for a person of christian faith whoes life had evolved around God, church, community and adopted parents of whom have sadly passed away.
He has spent the last two years on his own with his service dog but we would love to help him reach that 60 thousand to 70 thousand or as much as possible so he can fulfill his life in a peaceful community he has grown up in and a bonus if he makes a new family connection with a new caring family who would like to include him as well.
A little about him:
*Fully independent
*Regular Church Member
*Only Speaks English but learning Greek
*Athletic (Played sports)
*Read scriptures to his visually impaired mother together growing up.
*Loved morning walks with now deceased parents.
*Zero family connections (adopted senior parents passed away)
* His father couldn't have kids due to his time in Vietnam. He had adopted his Son after so many attempts to have a child not knowing a cause of Agent Orange.
*His parents loved him but were nearly 50 by the time of his adoption into their caring arms of love.
*The sole purpose of finding him a loving family to be apart of would be a huge bonus to his moral as he has gone through this pandemic nearly alone outside of church for the last few years since 2020.
We have been trying to keep him in our community he grew up in and are nearly at the peak of our goal of 60 thousand to 70 thousand or as much as possible to help keep him within our lives and our community he has grown up in.
Thank you for any assistance and even possibly helping him find a permanent house and family for this young person of faith within our community whose never complained, asked for any handouts or gone down the wrong path thanks to his faith in God, church and the community he has grown up in.
If you'd like more information about him please feel free to ask however he's a wonderful, kindhearted sole whose very open to finding a great family who would like to be apart of his life as well.
More details are available upon request in that matter. We don't want him to be harmed.
Our main concern is helping him find a permanent solution for his upbringing in our community he is connected to. We are seeking a good ideal place for him to call home for the rest of his upbringing and 60 thousand to 70 thousand or as much as possible would go a long way to help achieve this goal.
Finding a loving and accepting new family for him would be a huge bonus to his moral after the loss of both his parents.
Thank you for your patience and time you invested in reading this message.
If you have read this message you too may be interstate in helping this person of faith and thank you for your interest in this message.
May your blessings be many and your troubles be few.
