• For anyone that does not know us: My name is Siana. I am a dog trainer specialized in helping dogs with behaviour issues. My heart dog's name is Anarchy. A two year old black German Shepherd with a heart of gold, and the soul of a warrior. Anarchy and my passion is protection work, something that he was born and bred to do and he absolutely loves. And I am praying that he gets to enjoy his sport again soon
  
  
• At the age of 5 months old, I started noticing that Anarchy was favouring his left hind leg, as well as limping occasionally. It was irregular, but very noticeable for me. Our journey through vets started at 6 months of age, and finally ended at the age of 2 years with a visit to the Emergency Clinic. Four different vets told me that my dog is as healthy as it gets, that I am basically seeing ghosts, and that there is nothing wrong with him. It's likely just growing pains. Until he couldn't use his leg at all anymore one morning. A visit to the Emergency Clinic confirmed that he had a condition called Osteochondritis Dissecans
  
  
• In other words: Parts of his femur never calcified properly, turning into an infection, an ulcer inside his bone that needed to be removed, leaving his body to constantly having to fight inflammation, pain, and leaving a hole in his bone that had to be scraped clean and now needs to refill and calcify. The layer of cartilage that was supposed to cover this part of the bone is unfortunately irrevocably gone, but the hope is that it won't cause him too many issues (yet). In addition to the OCD, he developed Arthritis in this knee as a side effect. A condition that we now have to manage for the rest of his life to keep any pain at bay for as long as we can
  
  
• He received surgery at a clinic with a wonderful specialist, and we are now on the slow road of recovery over the next 6 months. The hope is for Anarchy to finally be pain free, after having lived with a sore leg for over 1.5 years. And for him to be able to continue doing the things that he loves the most. Which is moving!
  
  
• Due to many unfortunate life events, I cannot support Anarchy's journey on my own. From having to declare bankruptcy due to no fault of our own (our former business got entangled with a group of businesses whose actions unfortunately cost us everything), to my husband having to leave work for medical reasons in march of this year for an undefined amount of time with no government support - hence being the only bread winner of the family
  
  
• When I brought Anarchy home as a puppy, I had everything set up to keep him safe and taken care of - including the most comprehensive health insurance. But when I had to decide between surviving and health insurance, I unfortunately had to make the call to cancel our health insurance, leaving me now with the full load of bills to cover for his condition
  
  
• Asking for support, for help from my tribe is more than hard for me. I have always been the one to help, the one that can get through anything on her own. But I am at the rope off my end with this one. And I need my tribe, my village, to show me that I am not alone in this
