DARE operates within the state of Florida, we have no physical building, we are run out of foster homes and use a network of wonderful, skilled, kind, caring and SUPPORTIVE veterinarians throughout the state. We have been around for over 15 years and have built wonderful relationships with a network of doctors and their staff. Those vets provide amazing care to our often scared, neglected, traumatized and hurting fosters which makes them feel safe, healed and loved again.  Every vet we use gives us great rescue pricing and we know we are one of the lucky rescues out there to get these discounts. Good quality vet care does cost money - if our vets did everything for free they would quickly go out of business and not be able to help any animals. We get deep discounts and that is a fair deal. They all cut costs for us where they can....that being said, it doesn't mean it is done for free.

MaryJane -

She is estimated at 13 years old, glaucoma, totally blind, mammary masses with holes in her mouth leading to the sinus cavity...(what goes in, falls out...because her rotten teeth fell out)

Augie Doggie -

He is 7 years old, he is not neutered and on initial intake exam will require vaccinations, neuter & dental with extractions

Lola Bear -

She is 7 years old, spayed and will require vaccinations, and a dental with extractions

Wyatt - 

He is aprox 10 years old. His teeth are really bad. Initial exam makes us think he’ll probably lose teeth and might have issues with the infection up into the bones in his mouth.He also will need to be neutered. The shelter said his seizures were mild, but the cause is unknown right now. He is very skinny and has skin issues, probably because he had a lot of fleas when the shelter got him.

Winston -

He is 3 year old black and brown male Dachshund, he will be seeing a vet this week for his inital intake so his medical needs are unknown right now.
