Poor Casper spent the first three years of her life chained up outside in the mud, cold and heat. She was only fed spoiled table scraps which led to her small area being completely infested with ants. When we found her she was absolutely covered in them.
Luckily, we were able to pull her from that terrible situation, but was plagued with sickness time and again for months upon months. She was heartworm positive, they found a blockage that needed emergency surgery. She spent weeks in the vet. She was constantly fighting for her life. There were multiple times we thought we would lose her. But she just kept fighting!
We have been here for Casper every step of the way and are extremely happy to say that she is healthy and has finally gained weight and kept it on! We can't wait to see what her future holds and to find her the forever home that she deserves.
