The oceans are our planet's lifeblood: and they need us more than ever.
This fall, we're coming together Malama Pupukea Waimea's efforts to replenish and sustain the natural and cultural resources of O'ahu's North Shore.
Your donation support the following programs:
1. EDUCATION.
We must ensure hands-on learning about our fragile marine ecosystem (for children and adults alike) to inspire lifelong commitment to protect our shores and oceans.
2. VOLUNTEER WATCH.
In the Makai Watch program, volunteers are trained to accurately identify and report violations, helping to reduce poaching in the Marine Life Conservation District.
3. PLANT RESTORATION.
Support our Native Hawaiian Plant Coastal Restoration Project, which is what the EcoKarma Journey travelers will be participating in when they arrive in O'ahu in December. After seeing a need to help reduce erosion and sedimentation at Sharks Cove, nearly 200 volunteers have helped remove invasive weeds and shrubs, and plant thousands of native Hawaiian Plants in their place.
This helps to reduce the erosion that is wreaking havoc on the coral along the North Shore.

Q: Where does my money go?
A: Funds benefit Journey's nonprofit partner
Ushwara
, with a mission of raising funds for social and environmental
impact projects, and building global community through events and
campaigns to educate and inspire individuals around global
challenges and their solutions.
Projects are implemented via the on-the-ground partner,
Mālama Pūpūkea-Waimea.
Q: What happens to additional funding for a project when the
goal is met?
A: Funds go into a general pool, to be applied to other impact
projects via Ushwara.
Q: Will I get a tax receipt?
A: You will receive a tax receipt when Ushwara receives its
501c3 tax status from the IRS, expected by end of the year.
