Ushwara was created after acknowledgement that impact travel alone, while connected and transformative, is not enough. The tangible change made in each country we visit is only as apparent as the real resources, i.e funding, behind the projects we build. Ushwara’s mission focuses on building a global community of changemakers where education of global issues and in-depth involvement towards their solutions are the utmost concern.
Ushwara operates as a separate entity from Journey, a public-benefit company, whose commitment to global impact brought light to the need for sustainable funding and resources for global impact and awareness. As a new non-profit, Ushwara will be applying for tax exempt status 501(c)(3). Ushwara will be willing to grant tax receipts retroactively only upon and in the case of acknowledgement as a tax deductible non-profit.
By donating to this Fundrazr Campaign, you directly support the creation of Ushwara, and join us as we weave together a global community. The funds donated will be implemented towards the most in-need projects. Any excess funds, resulting from campaigns that do not meet their funding goals, will remain in the Ushwara Fund and used towards future impact projects.
