We are sad to report that our storage shed behind our classroom was broken into. Equipment was stolen and damaged, but the largest loss was the shed itself.

For those of you who don't know us, our mission is to u se the sport of lacrosse to unify the youth of Detroit’s neighborhoods by promoting academic & character education, personal development and pathways to prosperity, instilling the values of the sport: respect, honor, courage, and integrity. We offer both lacrosse and academic programming at low or no cost to our participants - our shed is a key part of our success as an organization as it allows us to store all of our equipment! We provide this gear for free when youth join our program.

The shed was broken into at the beginning of this fall with irreparable damage being done to the current door, but more crucially, the roof structure. The roof damage caused the shed to no longer be waterproof which has caused a moldy plywood base and will require the entire structure to be replaced. 

Please consider giving to help us replace our storage shed! As a small non-profit, all large expenses are fundraised for specifically, and this is an unexpected expense for us this year. We will be looking to get a more sturdy structure to try to prevent this from happening again! Any little bit helps! Thank you in advance!
