Forgotten Felines of Maine hasn't added a story.

Winter is here and it’s here with a vengeance.It’s seems quiet in Maine but under the silence is struggle...the quiet struggle of animals trying to find shelter from the biting cold, the struggle to find food and water unfrozen...the struggle to survive Nature’s cruel elements.And then there are the colony caregivers who are out there in this extreme cold trying to keep theirshelters and feeding areas cleaned out and open for the cats who need their help.It’s harsh and yet when the new year hits the money stops coming in.Just because all appears quiet it isn’t.

We struggle to provide enough food to the colonies who need it.We struggle to buy the propane for the barn where the feral cats who have no home find solace.We struggle to pay vet bills.Cats still get sick in the winter and all of last years kittens are still being spayed and neutered.And we struggle to have reserve for that call that’s going to happen of a cat in need.

So while the world in Maine seems quiet it’s a cruel quiet and everything is harder.This is a photo taken of one of the colonies we manage...can you find the cat huddled under the shed?She is cold and hungry.She still needs our help.It’s hard for us to raise money if we don’t show you a photo of a cat desperately needing help but truth is there are many out there desperately needing basic help...won’t you help us help them?Please...
