It's hard asking for money...it's harder to see those in need suffer for lack of it! We are a very small all volunteer organization who refuses to turn our backs on those in need. We help those who need help when a shelter refuses to do so. We help those who have been told to stop feeding or the cats will be declared their responsibility. And we always help without any outside funding or grants. But still we help. And currently we are providing food for three large colonies with two more waiting for help (meeting them in Feburary). Hopefully with a break in the weather we can trap again soon.
Just since January 1st we have taken in cats from a young woman going into rehab, we scheduled a cat for a full dental next week, two of our barn cats (Marden & Pegasus) underwent surgeryies for hematomas, 13 cats and kittens underwent full vetting (testing, vaccines & spay/neuters) so they are ready for adoption (minimum cost of vetting is $150-$200 per cat) and we have had full bloodwork, xrays and more done on Victoria, Glitter and Onyx.
We have sick kittens in our care...URI, diarrhea and the worst being Glitter with pnemonia.
Operating expenses are always needed and we are praying and hoping by reaching out to all of you we can get through the rest of January without the stress that winter brings. If you believe in the work we do please help us. We believe all cats have a right to life and that no one should be eutanized for illness.
