ABOUT

The Race for Education will take place on Friday, MAY 1st during the school day. Organized by grade level, over 400 SWE students will walk/run around the track at Wheatland Middle School, to the sounds of music, laughter, and cheering from family and friends. This event allows students to celebrate the success of the year, raise money for our school, and enjoy time spent outside moving their bodies.

WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER!

In a year when budget challenges have been frequently in the news, from state-level impasses to district-wide shortages, we have all seen how programs across the district have been affected. The SWE FTO Board is deeply grateful for the continued support of our community, which has allowed us to continue to provide meaningful field trips and special learning opportunities for the students and staff. With your help we can continue to offer those experiences so that our students do not have to be the ones to miss out. We can't control anyone's budget but our own. Your donation will make the following possible:

1. Educational Field Trips (for example, to ZooAmerica, the State Capital, and the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts)

2. Assemblies, Class Picnics, and events like Bingo and the SWE Dance

3. Books, Classroom Supplies, and Teacher "Wish Lists"

HOW TO DONATE

You may donate by clicking the orange CONTRIBUTE button, or you may also mail a check directly to the school. Please make checks payable to 'Smith-Wade-El Elementary PTO' and if the donation is to be in a specific student's name, please include their name, grade, and teacher name.
