Shortly before midnight on New Year’s Eve, HRM, Sir Bentley, our foundation’s spokes cat became ill. By 2:00 a.m. it became apparent that he needed immediate medical attention. As is our foundation’s policy, he was immediately rushed to the nearest Emergency Veterinarian where he was treated, then released to go home shortly after 4:30 a.m. with the requirement that he be scheduled for a follow-up by our foundation’s regular veterinarian. This visit to the ER coupled with the ongoing care required by our latest foster, Prince Harry, aka Miracle, aka Wild Thing has put stress on our current vet budget for the 1st quarter of this year. Total vet costs to date for Sir Bentley comes to $934.70 plus $415.15 vet costs for Prince Harry. Both HRM and Prince Harry are doing well with no further vet visits anticipated. The current fund raising goal is $1,500.00 to cover current and projected expenses at this time. Any excess donations will provide some cushion for yearly veterinary care.
Our Mission
To establish and maintain a Domesticated Pet Sanctuary for senior pets and those with other risk factors where without such a facility, the pets' lives and/or quality of life would be in jeopardy.
To provide additional services from time to time related to animal rescue and care, in such manner and at such time, as determined by the foundation's board of directors and advisors.
