In the hospital still but with hopes of beginning physical therapy. Hopefully, this works to help her get back up and walking with help. 

AFTER HSCT TREATMENT: JUNE 2024

UPDATE: SAT. July 6th 2024:

The below paragraph happened  on June 20th. 2024

My sister is in India right now and was to board a plane to return home after being in there for a month in ICU and touch and go complications after the very serious HSCT Stem Cell Transplant which almost cost her her life. She was recovering and one week ago was finally approved by the Hospital, Doctors, and Airline to travel home. The medics and staff and her husband helped prepare her for the long 13-hour journey home to Canada only to be turned away because she needed to be in an Upright position in her wheelchair. Back to the hospital for another 4 days and back to the airport only this time to be turned away because of her weight... stating she was overweight - WELL she was suffering severe edema which caused her to blow up. In the meantime she had been there remember a whole month and traveled TO the country and got off the plane in a worse weight condition than she currently is in now. 

The hospital held her unnecessarily charging her $1200 US daily while in ICU. Now this is after spending close to $40k for the procedure. The extra week depleted their savings and their credit cards are maxed. The hospital once again stated another $1200 per DAY and gave them a room with a huge bug infestation. When her husband asked to be switched due to the bugs the staff just laughed and said "Oh they only come out when the light is turned on"!!! 

Please help us get our family home. We believe there is not only crimes against humanity and cruelty. They have been feeling like caged animals while the hospital charges them exorbitant fees   

Anything you can help with to get her hospital and airlines paid off right now to bring them home would be greatly appreciated. THIS UPDATE IS DATED SAT. JUNE 29th 2024

She has PROGRESSIVE MS and this disease has ravaged her life and her body… and was getting progressively getting worse. We believe the procedure will do what it is supposed to do in time but it was certainly no cure. For that she must travel yet again NOT to India but hopefully in the US somewhere in the near future IF she can afford to go. Both her husband and her are on a pittence social security / pension and they have depleted their savings. 

The hospital cleared her to travel again and last night at the gate/terminal they were once again turned away for some bogus excuse. 

This is a Crime Against Humanity, A Cruel act of greed and abuse - We feel the hospital and airport are in cahoots and told her that if she buys 6 economy seats or two more business class seats each seat at $5k US they could leave the country. Of course, they didn't have the money. Back to the hospital where they denied her meds and told her husband he would have to get them elsewhere AND administer them himself.

SHE URGENTLY NEEDS THIS TREATMENT. HSCT, is risky, and wildly expensive. IT'S BONE MARROW transplant.  This is her only available option. Louna is very optimistic and excited about the chance. This procedure can slow down or stop the progression of the disease.WHAT ARE STEM CELLS
