Hartford Opera Theater’s mission is to enrich the lives of all members of the Greater Hartford community by offering quality, innovative, and affordable opera productions. Hartford Opera Theater truly believes that opera is for everyone and we keep our ticket prices low so that they remain accessible to our entire community.
The New in November Festival was established in 2010, and is an annual event featuring new works of contemporary opera composers. Each year, Hartford Opera Theater issues an international call for scores of ten-minute operas and the best six works are chosen from a competitive field. The operas are then brought from “page to stage” during an intense weekend of rehearsal and performance. HOT is currently the only company in the capital city that provides these types of opera performances and we are proud to bring such unique experiences to downtown Hartford.
In order to continue our tradition of producing new, affortable opera we need your support. Please consider sharing this campaign and donating $6 or more in honor of our sixth NIN. No dotation too small and any contribution that is a multiple of six would be most welcome!
