Help LiFT students enrich their learning experience through technology upgrades, after-school programs and other enrichment programs. Because LiFT is a non-profit, donations made up to $7 million will be matched by Facebook on a first come, first serve basis, so you can DOUBLE YOUR DONATED DOLLARS!
What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving where we are all untied by the power of social media and collaboration. It exists because of compassionate donors LIKE YOU who create a surge of charitable giving on Tuesday, December 3rd.
Why give to LiFT on #GivingTuesday?
Did you know...those with disabilities are the LARGEST minority in the United States?
** 1 in 59 children are identified with autism.
** Only 65% of students with learning disabilities will graduate high school.
** Only 28% of young adults with intellectual disabilities will have full time employment
LiFT supports, empowers and
creates opportunities for those
with disabilities and neurodiversities.
Based in Pinellas County, Florida, LiFT has two outstanding educational programs. LiFT Academy, serving students in Kindergarten - 12th grade and LiFT University Transition Program, a four year post secondary transition program for young adults. LiFT provides the academics, life skills and career readiness training for independence.
The mission of LiFT is to provide challenging academics while building character and confidence, in an accepting and inclusive environment, so traditional students and those with neurodiversities can develop to their fullest potential. Some of the neurodiversities on the campus of LiFT include autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays and more.
We have a passion that each student comes to value and view their diversity as a gift to be celebrated. Equally important is for each student to respect the differences found in each other.
At LiFT, we have created an environment that is free from bullying so students can grow - not only academically, but socially, emotionally and in self confidence!
