In 2009, a new permanent exhibition "Rescued Lithuanian Jewish Child Tells about the Shoah" was opened in the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum. It presents stories of 50 rescued children and their rescuers within the historical context of the Holocaust in Lithuania.

The main goal of the exhibition is to teach the society, youth especially, about the Shoah as a tragedy and loss for the entire Lithuania. This is done in an engaging way – through testimonies of the witnesses and survivors, videos, documentaries, historical photos. The exhibition is equipped with several computers and two informational terminals which visitors can browse for more information, discovering children's testimonies, archival material and so on. The exhibition is popular among the visitors and continues to attract a lot of attendees on a daily basis. 

Almost a decade after launching the exhibition, we need to replace two computers and two monitors (one of them – with a touch screen) to ensure that the exhibition's technical solutions remains user-friendly and our visitors can take advantage of all the digitized material.
