We are excited to announce our first annual Walk & Roll for Spina Bifida WNY! Join us for a family-friendly wheelchair-accessible 1 mile walk aimed to raise much needed funds, celebrate the lives and accomplishments of the people we serve, and raise community awareness of the day-to-day challenges people with Spina Bifida face.
Getting Started
Take the great first step in supporting those living with Spina Bifida in Western New York and register to walk & roll with us on September 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY. Click on the Event Day Details tab (next to Story. If you are viewing from Mobile, click More first) to see the schedule for the Walk & Roll.
How does it work?
Participants can register as an individual or create a team and invite family, friends, and their community to join them to walk for a great cause and to help build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida. Please register EVERYONE who will attend (even toddlers in strollers). We want to know how many people we are celebrating our first Walk & Roll event with (and have enough desserts for everyone)!
Show your Team spirit at the walk by ordering T-shirts for your team in YOUR choice of color by emailing us at sbofwny@gmail.com. A small portion of the t-shirt sale will be donated to SBWNY. Team Shirts orders and payments are due no later than August 26th, 2022.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee but we encourage all participants to raise funds for SBWNY. As a 100% volunteer organization, we rely solely on donations, grants, fundraising events, and sponsorships for programs and services for individuals and families affected by Spina Bifida in Western New York. Every individual that raises $100 or more will receive a FREE Walk & Roll T-shirt!

Why Walk & Roll or Donate?
Event Details:
September 11, 2022, at Delaware Park, Buffalo NY
Registration & the start of the Walk & Roll walk will be at the Amherst St /Colvin St Green Area .
1:00 pm Check-in and registration begins
- Please arrive early to avoid lines. Before the walk starts, enjoy some family-friendly activities, a DJ playing your favorite tunes, and meeting & greeting new and old friends!
2:00 pm Walk Kick-Off
- Join us after the walk for desserts and ice cream!
4:00 pm Event Ends
Limited parking for those with Accessible Parking Placards will be available at St. George Orthodox Catholic Church parking lot, located at 2 Nottingham Terrace. A paved path from the parking lot will take you to the park and the registration area.
On-street parking is available for all other participants.
Walk & Roll Route:
Participants will walk clockwise towards the Zoo to the Indian Hunter Statue, where we will turn around and walk back to Amherst/Colvin Green Area.
