HELP RAISE MONEY FOR NEW EQUIPMENT
Our Salt Spring Island Rowing Club Junior Program has a lofty goal of raising $15,000 this year. As our club gets more competitive on the water, we need to equipment to fulfill our goals.
Over the last 8 years, our junior program has had many top place finishes with our best last year with all 3 crews qualifying for the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Championships (CSSRA) FINALS. We finished just off the podium with two 4th and 5th place finishes. Our equipment is outdated, water logged and is falling apart. We need to replace it if we are going to continue being successful.
We are asking you to help support our club rowers as they will be row in the distance to St. Catharines, which is the location of the CSSRA championships. From Salt Spring Island, that is 4567 km or 4,567,000 meters, will you support our small but mighty team.
The goal is for each rower to raise at least $300. Help out your rower of choice. With only 27 rowers to choose from you can sponsor two and set up a healthy competition. Rowers will be on land or on the water, choice is there. Choose your rower of choice and please support us.

All Rowers will be cumulatively keeping track of their meters through the month of January. Row A Thon will run January 5th to February 5th. It will end on Sunday February 5th or sooner if we hit the 4,567,000 meter marker.
