WE'RE ROWING TO NATIONALS – AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Our Salt Spring Island Rowing Club Junior Program is chasing a dream—and we need your help to make it a reality! This year, we have set an ambitious goal of raising $20,000 to upgrade our equipment and fund our travel to the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Championships (CSSRA) in St. Catharines.

Why We Need Your Help

Over the past decade, our junior program has built a legacy of dedication, grit, and perseverance. We have consistently placed among the top competitors at provincial regattas, but we have yet to reach the CSSRA podium —and this year, we’re determined to change that.

But to compete at the highest level, we need better equipment. Our boats are outdated, waterlogged, and falling apart. To keep pushing forward, we must invest in high-quality gear that matches our passion and commitment to this sport. Your support will directly impact our ability to train and race at our best.

On Sunday, May 18 , our team is putting in the work— Rowing 20 meters for every dollar raised. If we reach our goal of $20,000, that’s 400 km rowed as a team! Want to cheer us on? Head down to St. Mary’s Lake and show your support from Tripp Road!

How You Can Make a Difference

Each rower is striving to raise at least $500 , and with only 25 athletes , you have the chance to sponsor one (or two!) and inspire a little friendly competition. Your donation not only supports our journey to Nationals but also fuels the determination and spirit of these young athletes.
