Memphis (aka Lancelot) is a rescue dog who has had very poor treatment from his owners. Our mission is to get him healthy, neutered, treated for heart worms and find a loving, permanent home for him.

Memphis is a one year old lab or golden mix in the care of MAR - Mercer Animal Rescue just outside of Memphis, TN.

Our goal is $1800 for his veterinary care.  He is emaciated at 65 lbs. Every rib can be seen.  His ideal weight will probably be around 100 lbs.

He is scaroptic mange, demodex, upper repiratory/sinus infection, an eye infection, both ears are infected, coccidia, whip worms, tape worms, hook worms and on top of that he is heart worm positive.

Mercer Animal Rescue is a non - profit and our tax ID number is 46-0841798 and donations are tax deductable.

Memphis was picked up as a stray in Arkansas.  We knew right away when we saw him that we had to help.  We later learned that although he was picked up as a stray, he had a home and family that neglected him and allowed him get into this terrible condition.  Although he is only around one year old, it appears he was never had the proper care or a loving home.

Our goal is to get him healthy again, which will most likely take several months.  Once healthy, we will have him treated for heart worms, neutered, and get all of his necessary vaccinations. At that point, we will find him a loving, forever home.
