Ride to Give Ironman Chattanooga September 2014
Support TEAM RIDE to GIVE and TEAM BOOM as they compete in Ironman Chattanooga Saturday September 28, 2014.
We know what an amazing group of people that are following Tripp and his long road to recovery, I look at this IRONMAN as a similar long road to the finish, my journey will be much easier than what Tripp is facing but will be the biggest physical challenge I have ever faced. Our hope, and I say our because this will be a family commitment for me to put in the time and miles into my training, is to raise over $100,000 for the two charities that have really helped us and Tripp. Every last penny we raise will be split evenly among Sunshine on a Ranney Day and Ride to Give, I wanted to stress that this is not a fundraiser in any way for Tripp or our family. Our goal in this is to help two great charities help as many other families as possible, pay it forward so to speak. I saw a great quote the other day and it is something that has happened to us and I really hope that it is a feeling we can experience as well: "You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you". I hate that there are people out there who need this type of help but the reality is that there are and there are more everyday. I ask everyone to give anything you can, send us a nickel if thats all you have, as crazy as that sounds it can add up very quickly!! Tripp has almost 900,000 people who like his page so just do the math on what we could do here, I know I put $100,000 as my goal but I see the numbers and I think $1,000,000 is easily attainable!!! Dave and Kaete Nazaroff, Pete and Holly Ranney did not know us just a few short months ago, they have sacrificed so much for us and now it is our turn to help them help others. Thank you all so much, please remember we know not everyone can donate but sharing this with others is free!!!
