- Inspired by a father's love for his daughter. The Wombat you see in our logo has a name. Her name is Matilda, named after creative director Henry Watkins' ten year old daughter. He wanted to create a show she'd not only love, but a show she could be proud to see having a positive impact even once she's grown.

We have been called the Savannah Bananas and Harlem
Globetrotters of women's soccer.
Just like those shows, the Wombats put on a live game and a family-friendly show all at once, plus we put a fresh and original twist on the most popular sport in the world at a time when women are bringing more and more fans and excitement into soccer, breaking records both in attendance and revenue. -

dancing, singing, acrobats, and to top it all off - ice cream!
The kind of show that any kid will remember for the rest of their life. After the show they can meet the players and play carnival-style games, and even try a penalty shot for themselves! -

with laughter and SERIOUS SOCCER SKILLS.
Our show is absolutely for hardcore soccer fans. These women are extraordinary athletes and they really play. They're veterans of the World Cup, the Olympics, the national teams of their home countries, and professional leagues around the globe. PLUS our team features women who are diverse in every way, and an inspiration to young players both on and off the field. Study after study has shown that participation in team sports leads to better outcomes for kids and nothing inspires like a positive in-person experience. - Our fans can give back while supporting today's women athletes - and tomorrow's. We will use our platform to raise money and awareness, especially for causes that impact the most vulnerable among us.

WHAT WILL MY DONATION BE USED FOR?
Great question. As we noted in the video, it's very expensive building a professional sports franchise and arena show in one! We have to pay our players and our staff, of course. We have to produce videos, renting studios and paying for professional crews, and everyone needs to be fed. We treat our people well, always, and we always will. And there's all the not so fun stuff like accounting, legal fees, insurance, transportation, and on and on. And there's things you might not think of, like practice fields - those are actually very expensive and hard to come by, because soccer is played year-round by youth leagues, adult leagues, schools, and of course pro teams.
Plus, we're based in LA, and that makes just about everything that much more expensive! The weather is nice though. ; )
We also have high ticket items on our wish list. We have prototypes of merchandise like t-shirts, jerseys, and stuffed wombats, but buying inventory costs many thousands of dollars, and then there's shipping. Another thing - one custom mascot suit can cost $5000! What?!
The point is: we need money, but we will spend it wisely, and you can take pride in being part of building something lasting and special, something fun, but also something that matters. Thank you.
