MORE ABOUT WARDEN COMMUNITY CENTER:

Warden Community Center (WCC) will act as a central hub for community development serving primarily youth and women. WCC will provide a number of vocational training courses, a computer/technology lab, and will provide jobs for about least 50 people in the Elmina area.

Why?  Unemployment has been at its highest and young people are amongst those who are suffering most – especially young women. In addition, there is an educational gap, which makes it more difficult for young people to gain the proper skills that would help them generate income for their families.

Thus far, we have support from Chiefs, an Assembly Member, and elders of the community. We have laborers, masons, carpenters, a plumber and electrician from the community who are ready to provide their services.   At this time, we need to finish excavating the land given by the Chiefs and the elders, which will help us begin construction of the center.
