Spiritual Warfare comes in many forms. I’m asking you to consider donating to the cost of legal fees to fight this physical and spiritual battle that Willy and Christy Patzer and the whole Victory Mountain Ministry are facing along with their loved ones and friends.

Some history: In 1985 God told Willy that because HE had given the life of His Son (Christ) for him that Willy should pattern his ministry after Christ and therefore give his life for others in ministry.
For over 30 years Willy Patzer has led his life with Christ as his center. He has passionately followed his calling to minister to boys ,women’s and men’s groups to make a difference by showing them the love of Christ our Lord and the beauty of His creation. For each of these 30 years spiritual warfare has happened to cause hardship for small religious organizations including Victory Mountain Ministry and Backcountry Sportsmen.
Willy is associated with Victory Mountain Ministry, “helping people gain victory over the mountains in their lives through Christ”, a 501 C-3 organization. This ministry has served people from all over the United States, charging nothing for the services provided.
“Lots of people are hurting in this world and Willy from Lander, WY cares passionately, making a difference by taking them to the mountains and sharing Christ. Many youth who were in desperate situations are now soundly dealing with life because they found someone who cared.”
Ministry sounds like a pretty simple, straightforward path but it is sometimes hard for some to believe or understand. Ministry is set up surrounded by the principle of one’s giving of oneself without physical compensation thus Victory Mountain Ministry being a non-profit organization. As many of you know Willy’s ministry takes extreme hard work, tons of prayer and the outcomes are miraculous. God works in so many amazing and wonderful ways. Living in Christ is challenging and rewarding. By not being focused on making money and having the greatest and latest technology Willy can focus on what’s truly important: God.
The bible says to:
“be not conformed of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is…his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2-3
Not conforming to the world causes many hardships including financial strain, disbelief and censorship from others and government scrutiny. Currently Willy is experiencing both hardships first hand as well as many others. He has recently been arrested by the Federal Government for taking these groups to the National Forest for prayer and experiencing God’s works because he did not purchasing a “special use permit.”
By citing the required Special Use Permit the National Forest Services is also denying the application for Willy and Victory Mountain Ministry to obtain these for the groups. There is so much spiritual warfare happening and being aimed at the ministry of Christ right now.
“Special Use Permits” via the US Forest Service website are needed for the following:
- If you will need to occupy, use or build on Forest Services land for personal or business purposes, whether the duration is temporary or long term
- If there is a fee being charged or if income is derived from the use.
- If any activity on those lands involve individuals or organizations with 75 or more participants or spectators.
As you can see none of these situations apply and yet now Willy is being charged and faces fines of up to $15000.00 and 18 months in a federal prison followed by 3 years of supervised release where he will not be allowed to set foot on any national forest system or public land during that time.
The bylaws of the “Victory Mountain Ministry” state that no fees are charged for Victory Mountain’s use of National Forestry lands or get paid for anything involving being in the National Forest. If you have ever worked with Willy and Christy, have ever seen the heart for God that they serve or witnessed the amazing life changing works of God in their lives I ask you to Pray and consider supporting their legal fees.
Unfortunately the tone of this case will set precedence for future instances of scrutiny and all opportunities for National Forest Lands to be used by the public and private people of this nation. No matter what happens here we need to pray and continue in our faith. We need GOD and we cannot do this on our own.
