We are raising funds to create secure housing for homeless trans women who face rampant discrimination in the rental market. Too many landlords refuse to rent to trans women, leaving them vulnerable to homelessness and abuse.

Our mission is to deliver essential rent assistance while acquiring dedicated safe apartments exclusively for trans women—providing stability, dignity, and a path forward.. 

• 70% of trans folks in the U.S. face challenges accessing safe and affordable housing and 1 in 3 Black Trans women are homeless.

In addition to the threat of homelessness, 60% of trans women face significant barriers to obtaining legal name changes. These obstacles stem from financial constraints, bureaucratic red tape, and anti-trans policies that prevent them from updating their identity documents to reflect their true gender.

Your donation empowers our grassroots efforts to support trans women in securing vital identification documents and accessing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) resources. 

• These barriers deepen the cycle of economic instability and social marginalization, as 65% of transgender adults live below the poverty line.

At Trans United Fund, we're dedicated to dismantling these barriers head-on—offering direct aid for legal name changes and housing support to help trans and queer individuals live authentically and with true security.
